Why withdrawn lots stay on the file

A retraction is evidence. Erasing it would be a different product.

When a lot is withdrawn or a report comes back out of spec, the row stays. Later corrections are added beside it. They are not overwritten, and they are not hidden behind a passing average.

Record Index can fall when the recent file is thin or uncheckable. It does not turn a withdrawn lot into a silent gap. The point of an index is the paper trail, including the unflattering pages.

Helio Batch Co’s withdrawn Epithalon row in this demo is there on purpose. Open the filed-report table and it is still dated, still attributed, still labeled withdrawn.
